Why .hosting costs more than most hosts will pay
Start with the price, because it decides this one. A .hosting domain costs roughly five times what a .host does on our list, and getting on for forty times a .co.uk. The figure on this page is annual and it recurs for as long as you hold the name. Nothing technical justifies it: the DNS records, the DNSSEC support and the resolution behaviour are identical to every other extension.
