.faith was delegated in February 2015 to dot Faith Limited, a company registered in Gibraltar. The technical operation sits with GoDaddy Registry in Arizona, and the administrative contact on the IANA record is not at the registry at all: it is a firm of accountants in Gibraltar. That is a more common arrangement among the 2015 extensions than most people realise, and in practice it means the nameservers are run by one of the largest operators there is while the ownership sits somewhere less conventional.

The thing worth knowing before a congregation commits to this address is the company it keeps. The operator, Global Registry Services Limited, lists its portfolio on its own site: sixteen extensions including .loan, .win, .men, .bid, .stream, .review, .trade, .date, .party, .download, .science, .racing, .accountant, .webcam and .cricket. Several of those have spent years near the top of published abuse reports. A domain is judged on its own record long before its neighbours matter, and plenty of .faith sites are entirely ordinary, but a filtering system that scores whole extensions is not reading your sermon notes.

One claim to set aside. The registry site says a .faith address will make you more visible in search engine results. It will not. Google has said since the first wave of these extensions that it treats them like any other generic domain, and that a keyword in the extension gives no advantage and no disadvantage. Choose .faith because the word finishes the name, not because somebody promised you rankings.
